Purple Power Smoothie

Here’s another great fruit and vegetable smoothie – blueberry, banana, kale, courgette and ginger blend perfectly to create a treat that sneaks in a couple of your 5-a-day just like that!

INGREDIENTS (serves 1):
1 x handful fresh or frozen blueberries
1/2 x banana
1 x handful kale (remove all stalks)
1/3 x courgette
1 x £1 coin sized chunk of fresh ginger
1 x glass cold water
4/5 x ice cubes

METHOD:
Pop everything in a blender and whizz for 2 – 3 minutes until totally smooth
Serve immediately while still nice and cold
