Ok, so let’s face it there’s no such thing as a fudge you could eat with the wild abandon of kale and broccoli…but this recipe is made purely from natural good-for-you ingredients so is still infinitely better than it’s sugar-loaded equivalent.
Everyone has a sweet tooth that needs satisfying, and this perfect treat will certainly hit the spot, guilt-free… just make sure you still limit yourself to a couple of pieces to avoid a calorie overload
150g sesame seeds
150g chopped dates
2 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp honey
2 tbsp warm water
1 tbsp cocoa powder
extra cocoa for dusting
Simply blend all the ingredients together in a food processor until totally mixed, and forms a ball.
Tip the gooey mixture onto greaseproof parchment on a small baking tray.
Flatten the mixture out to form a block about 1.5cm thick – it’s easiest to just do this with your hands.
The mixture will look really oily at this point; that’s ok – it will set as it cools.
Pop the fudge into the freezer for 30 minutes to set.
Chop the fudge into 1.5cm chunks, then dust with a little more cocoa if you wish.
Keep the fudge in the fridge or freezer until you’re desperate for that little sweet treat!
